What non-profits are saying.

  • Fundraising Partnership Coordinator, Make-A-Wish San Diego

At Make-A-Wish San Diego, we believe in the power of community coming together to create life-changing experiences for children battling critical illnesses. Compete for Causes has been an incredible partner in this mission raising over $20,000 by inspiring individuals to get active while making a tangible difference. Through their fitness challenges, Compete for Causes participants have not only embraced a healthier lifestyle but have also helped bring hope, strength, and joy to local wish kids. Their passion and dedication have directly contributed to granting heartfelt wishes—whether it’s meeting a favorite athlete, visiting a dream destination, or receiving a special gift that brings comfort and joy. We are deeply grateful for their support and look forward to continuing this partnership to bring even more wishes to life!"

  • Anna Kalins, Executive Director, Unravel Pediatric Cancer

Compete for Causes was an incredible experience, and we were honored to have Unravel chosen as the benefiting charity! Seeing participants push themselves—not just for their own fitness goals, but to maximize support for kids fighting cancer—was truly inspiring. I even joined in myself and found the competition both fun and motivating. The daily leaderboard emails were entertaining, and I loved seeing the energy and determination from everyone involved. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about connecting to the leaderboard, but it was much easier than I expected! Can’t wait to do it again!"

  • - Rita Albert, Executive Director, ConnectMed International

Our relationship with Compete for Causes began with our first fitness competition together in January 2024 and has only grown stronger.  Our partnership has not only broadened our reach with new potential donors but also piqued the interest of our existing supporters, who were intrigued by this innovative approach to fundraising for causes they hold dear.

When Compete for Causes dedicated their March 2026 challenge exclusively to ConnectMed, it was a meaningful affirmation of the bond we had built together. 127 participants from 11 states joined the leaderboard. Seeing so many people push themselves physically in support of our mission to improve the lives of people with physical differences and disabilities was truly inspiring.

The March 2026 competition raised $20,800 for ConnectMed. As with prior events, these funds required minimal effort on our part, enabling our existing resources to remain focused on the day-to-day of running our organization. Across multiple events, Compete for Causes has consistently demonstrated what is possible when fitness and philanthropy come together and there is genuine enthusiasm in their community. Plus the newly developed Complete for Causes app makes the experience fun, easy to engage with and inspiring!

Compete for Causes is more than just a fitness challenge—it’s a movement that brings people together for something bigger than themselves. Their latest event supporting Unravel Pediatric Cancer is a perfect example of how they combine community, health, and philanthropy to make a real difference. By turning personal fitness goals into a force for good, they’re not only inspiring individuals to push themselves but also providing critical funds to support groundbreaking pediatric cancer research. It’s incredible to see an organization so dedicated to creating positive change while fostering a sense of camaraderie and purpose. I’m proud to support their mission and be a part of this impactful journey!

I have been lucky enough to participate in multiple Compete for Causes competitions. After being invited by a coworker, I was excited to learn that activities I was already participating in could be used to raise money for incredible organizations. The friendly competition, positive check-ins, and easy-to-follow leaderboards made these competitions fun and engaging. I have been able to attend group hikes, receive retail discounts to popular retailers, and make new friends! I love that each competition raises money for a different and incredibly deserving organization. I have been able to push myself to try new forms of exercise, and my family has enjoyed extra time outside and moving our bodies together! Compete for Causes provides a friendly competition where everyone comes out a winner

I look forward to every one of the Compete for Causes challenges. There is an unmatched energy, enthusiasm and spirit this amazing group brings that I haven’t experienced in any other fitness challenges. I love the daily motivation and leaderboard concept. This is such a testament to how dedicated the Compete for Causes team is. There’s a sense of “team” without knowing many of the people you’re “competing" with. The founders and leaders of this crew are so wonderful at keeping everyone motivated and on track - they have such excellent communication and support for all the participants. I also love all the amazing ways they keep participants motivated."

Participating in Compete for Causes is such a fantastic way to combine fitness, charity, and community. It has given me that extra drive to prioritize my workouts, knowing that charities and fellow participants are counting on me. Throughout the competitions, the organizers really bring the charity to life, sharing powerful stories and highlighting the impact. Whether it’s the entertaining videos from the organizers, the lighthearted banter between competitors, or chasing the leader at the top of the daily board, the friendly competition and camaraderie among participants keeps things lively! Most importantly, the organizers make everything so easy—all you need to do is sign-up and work out. Please join us in raising money for an amazing cause - I'll watch for your name at the top of the leaderboard!"

I have been part of the CFC community for several seasons, and it has really pushed me to get into shape as well as meet great people. The leaderboard is a huge motivator for me, and I make a point to hit my goals each day. In addition I was able to connect with the Sweat Circuit group and have now been going there full time for over 6 months. The non-profit organizations that are supported are also very important to me, and I look forward to the next one!

This challenge has been a super fun little spark in my life! I love going on walks, but this has got me out on a long walk every day on top of workouts and rehearsals! Moving and grooving is the best way to be and it was no questions asked when it benefits charity! Thanks for organizing!
